Lighthouses. Based on Jesus declaration in Mt. 5:14 that "you are the light of the world", a Lighthouse is a person or group acting in Jesus' name to pray for, care for, and share Christ with neighbors. There are already many thousands of Lighthouses across the country. In one day, a Minneapolis radio station signed up over 2,000 lighthouses. There are a number of individual churches with over 1,000 lighthouses. The goal is 3 million nationwide by the end of 2000.

The Lighthouse movement crosses denominational and ethnic lines with its message of prayer evangelism. Diverse pastoral prayer networks are springing up in support of the movement in cities across the country.

What Is a Lighthouse?

A Lighthouse is one or more people committed to pray for, care for and lovingly share Jesus Christ with their neighbors and others as God leads.

The strategy is simple -- It's to Pray -- Care -- Share
Pray   Through prayer walks, group prayer or privately
Care   About the needs of your neighbors
Share  Your hope, prayer and faith in Christ
