Yesterday a collection of pastors and ministry leaders welcomed Pastor Phil Edwards as he moves his family here from Atlanta... to help the CityChurch Partnership grow a 'Hope For Indianapolis' compassion ministry.
Pastor Phil Edwards
Phil shared his life story with the group. When he was only ten years old, his alcholic father was murdered in a street-related incident. Phil got a pistol and vowed revenge, but God had different plans. Phil came to Christ and was mentored by a Christian in a work program for inner-city teens. He saw first-hand the value of life-on-life discipleship... later becoming a pastor himself.
Phil's story has been written up in a number of places, including this article in ByFaith Magazine.
